LEGAL heavyweights hit the streets of Central in support of barrister Audrey Eu Yuet-mee as she launched her election campaign yesterday.
The 47-year-old senior counsel collected signatures from the public as nominees for her candidacy in the Hong Kong Island by-election on December 10.
Ms Eu shook hands with passers-by as she handed out leaflets explaining her platform.
Democratic Party chairman Martin Lee Chu-ming SC, Gladys Li Chi-hei SC, legislator Margaret Ng Ngoi-yee SC and Denis Chang Khen-lee SC were among those who turned up to offer support.
The by-election is to fill the seat vacated by Gary Cheng Kai-nam, the disgraced former vice-chairman of the Democratic Alliance for the Betterment of Hong Kong.
The DAB is fielding Christopher Chung Shu-kun.
