Jusco Stores (Hong Kong) has reached an agreement with Internad, a local e-commerce solutions provider, to develop an online shopping service for its customers.
Juscocity, to be launched at the end of this year, will offer one-stop shopping as well as information on travel, entertainment and finance.
According to business development director Soul Lam, the Web site will enable Jusco to develop its relationship with existing customers.
'There is a constraint on the extent of the services that we can provide at our outlets,' he said. 'With this Web site, we hope to create a virtual community in which our customers can make purchases or inquire about services even beyond our opening hours.'
Internad chief operating officer Madeleine Ling Fan said the partnership would enable Jusco to establish an effective service platform to complement its existing retail business.
'For the past five years, Internad has been providing e-commerce services and solutions to the retail industry,' Mrs Fan said.
