'Unhappy' woman sets fire to Shamshuipo flat

A woman allegedly set fire to a Shamshuipo flat yesterday while playing with a lighter.

The 38-year-old, who rents one of the bedrooms, told officers she was unhappy and started playing with the lighter, but accidentally set fire to a mattress in the third-floor flat in Tung Chung Street at 5am. She and the other tenants fled. The blaze was put out by firemen and there were no casualties. The woman was being questioned by police last night.
