Snow World Hong Kong is looking for finance to build a US$100 million commercial-entertainment complex on two hectares of land in the southern part of Ma Wan Island.
The proposed commercial-entertainment complex on Ma Wan, which lies between Tsing Yi Island and Lantau, would house Hong Kong's first real-snow centre and was expected to lift commercial and residential values in the area, analysts said.
A specially designed 500,000- square foot real-snow centre will have an Olympic-standard 50-by-60 metre snow slope for skiing.
Other facilities will include ice-skating, a room for snowball fights and wall-climbing.
The complex will also have a 500,000 sq ft commercial centre for souvenir shops and restaurants.
The company will canvas investment from global property funds, local developers and investment bankers.
