THE Hongkong Investment Funds Association (HKIFA) is organising a series of educational seminars targeting local investors. The seminars are designed to enhance understanding and use of investment funds.
To be held quarterly, the seminars will cover a host of topics ranging from the basics on funds and portfolio management to market outlook.
The first seminar is to be held on July 3 and will focus on the basics of fund management.
Speaking at the seminar will be Andrew Lo, vice-chairman of the HKIFA, and Romi Williamson, senior manager in investment products at the Securities and Futures Commission.
Eleven HKIFA member fund houses also will set up counters to explain their products. The event will be held in Cantonese and the entrance fee is $20.
