ANYONE leafing through a glossy promotional booklet for the Honorlux Estate Development Company's Seaview Square development in Qingdao, northern China, might catch a glimpse of a well-known Hongkong face. It belongs to the lovely Laine - the dark-haired model who was the personification of The Mall in Pacific Place for three years, and who still appears in Swire Properties' own promotions literature. Honorlux clearly thinks she is pretty wonderful as it has pinched her Pacific Place picture for its sales brochure. Naturally, it has substituted the black, white and red Mall logo on the shopping bags Laine jauntily carries in the shot, artfully gluing on the Seaview Square logo in their place. Swire Properties' Paul Husband said: ''I can't say we particularly like it, but I don't think it is detrimental to Pacific Place; it is not terribly serious. ''This happens all the time in China, still, I suppose imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.''
