ALTHOUGH the hotels here don't make nearly as much fuss over Father's Day as they do over Mother's Day, there are still some attractive programmes to be found which offer a special deal for the family on an outing.
The Grand Hyatt, for example, has a set dinner in its One Harbour Road Cantonese restaurant for $460 per person. (All prices quoted do not include 10 per cent service charge.) The same hotel is offering a buffet lunch in its Grissini Italian restaurant for $330, with a children's price of $180.
The Hongkong Marriott has a lunch buffet in its Marriott Cafe on Father's Day for $210, children $165, and a dinner buffet for the same price.
In the hotel's Man Ho Cantonese restaurant, there is a special set dim sum lunch for $138 per person, with a minimum of six, and a set dinner menu for $1,180 for four.
If six people are dining, the price goes up to $1,780, for eight it is $2,380, and for 10 to 12, $3,380.
For dads with a taste for Californian food, JW's California restaurant has a lunch buffet priced at $210, $165 for children, and there is a four-course dinner menu at $288 per head.
