IT MUST be useful, it must work dependably, it must be beautiful, it must last and it must be the best of its kind. Well, that is what Alfred Dunhill said.
But with the recent launch of the Dunhill Centenary Blend - which the company proudly boasts is the world's most expensive whisky at almost $1,400 a bottle - it seems to have dispensed with a couple of these criteria.
It is doubtful that this blended Scotch whisky could be considered useful as such, and certainly a nice little drop like this will not last.
But there is nothing wrong with a little indulgence. And if you wanted to put a price on your dad's head, HK$500,000 would seem fair.
That is how much you will pay for a hogshead (barrel) of this whisky.
The Dunhill Centenary Blend is available only in the hogshead and only 100 have been produced.
