The military paper's management was furious when they found that other people had registered some of the paper's Chinese character domain names, according to the report. The publication is the official newspaper of the Central Military Committee of China's Communist Party,
''Any ill-intentioned registrations of the army newspaper's domain names or any attempt to make money from these registrations violates the country's defence law,'' the site said, quoting officials.
According to its Web site, late last month the People's Liberation Army Daily tried to register 58 Chinese domain names ending with ''.net,'' ''.com,'' ''.china'' (in Chinese), ''.company'' (in Chinese) and ''.network'' (in Chinese).
But the paper found that others had registered all these names, the report said.
