NOVELIST and former South China Morning Post columnist Bill Lowe, 68, died yesterday afternoon. He is survived by his son, Raymond, 25 and his wife Esther in Hongkong and three other children from a previous marriage.

Mr Lowe, who was diagnosed as suffering from cancer three weeks ago, came to Hongkong in 1975 as an English teacher and was once the director of Studies for the British Council. He was a columnist for the South China Morning Post and worked for RTHK and Commercial Radio.
