Claims untrue

I have worked in the National Health Service in the UK and in the Hospital Authority here; generally, health professionals are more tolerant than the society at large.

I have witnessed physical and verbal racist abuse of Indians in Tower Hamlets and Hackney in London which does not occur to the same degree in Hong Kong.

To say that the tragic death of Harinder Veriah is evidence of institutionalised racism in local hospitals is just not true.
