Hong Kong is a money-oriented and materialistic society! We cannot deny that money can bring us power, satisfaction, privileges, enjoyment and even glory.

Ask yourself if you would do a job out of interest even if it was low-paid.

Maybe there are people like this but they are rare.

You might argue many people, especially the rich and famous, give to charity. But this is just because they want fame and popularity or an advantage in business.

Why do you think most students in Hong Kong work so hard for exams? It is because they want to have a prosperous future and an excellent job. The main aim behind it is to earn more money! This is reality.

However, some priceless human qualities are neglected in the rush to earn lots of money.
