Mainland officials have been told to prevent the man entering the country, a Hongkong China News Agency report said yesterday.
The agency said that since 1986, lorry drivers who regularly crossed the border at Man Kam To had been required to undergo AIDS tests once a year.
The driver had been making trips between Hongkong and China since 1984. His mainland driving licence would be revoked.
In February, strong protests forced Guangzhou to scrap random AIDS tests for frequent visitors from Hongkong and Macau it had introduced the month before.
