Schools are to have a bigger say in improvement work, with Deputy Secretary for Education and Manpower Joseph Lai Yee-tak saying principals would be given a seat on a government working group. The Public Works Subcommittee approved a proposal of $1.04 billion for engaging consultants to carry out site investigation and feasibility studies for 342 aided schools, and $3 billion for improvement work in more than 120 schools.
