Police arrested a 28-year-old man after a public pay phone was vandalised in Mongkok early yesterday. Officers allegedly found the man inside the booth hitting the handset against the side at the junction of Argyle Street and Yim Po Fong Street at about 3.30am and arrested him. He was released on bail of $2,000. Initial investigations show the incident is not linked to a recent spate of damage to public pay phone boxes. In a separate case, two boys aged 12 and 18, arrested for allegedly damaging toilets at a public convenience in Lei Yue Mun, have been released on bail of $500 each.
