Sharis Lau Yuen-kuan, 26, girlfriend of actor Dayo Wong Chi-wah, 40, was taken to hospital after an overdose of pills.
A rumour had it that Lau had attempted suicide because she had been very down over a tangle of love affairs. Another rumour had it that Wong was in love with Dodo Cheng Yu-ling, his partner in the popular TV show War of the Genders, even though Cheng has a boyfriend, Lui Fong. Lau had been discovered in a pub with her ex-boyfriend.
Wong denied all the rumours saying the whole thing had nothing to do with Cheng and asked the press to leave her alone. But he refused to disclose why Lau took so many pills.
Taiwanese singer-composer Wu Bai produced Karen Mok Man-wai's latest album. Mok said she was not worried that Wu's production might affect sales as he is known for not being commerical. She said it was a rare opportunity to work with a brilliant musician like Wu.

Hacken Lee performed two concerts with the Hong Kong Philharmonic at the Hong Kong Coliseum last month. Although Lee has not received any big awards in recent years, he said the response to the concert was already the biggest award to prove his success.
