THERE was hardly a celebrity in sight as Mandy Smith, the model once married to former Rolling Stone Bill Wyman, wed a football player at the weekend.
Smith, 22, and Pat van den Hauwe, 33, were married at the Marylebone Registry Office in west London.
Her ivory wedding gown with train was more subdued than the frothy, multicoloured creation she wore at her star-studded 1989 wedding to Wyman. That union ended in 1991.
Belgium-born Van den Hauwe, who grew up in Wales and plays for the north London football club Tottenham Hotspur, turned out in a light grey suit and white waistcoat.
The bride was given away by her uncle, Harold Harris. Her 24-year-old sister, Nicola, acted as a witness. The reception was at the Regent Hotel near the register office.
Smith was granted a divorce decree in May 1991 on the grounds of Wyman's admitted adultery with an unidentified woman.
