Emotions overflow at Mok's debut concert

Karen Mok Man-wai has successfully staged her first concert. She invited Andy Lau Tak-wah and Taiwanese singer-composer Wang Pinyuan as special guests.

The audience was enthusiastic and spirits were high. Many of her showbiz friends, including Leslie Cheung Kwok-wing, Anita Mui Yim-fong, Eason Chan Yick-shun, Stephen Fung Tak-lun, Kristy Yang Gong-ru, Cecilia Cheung Pak-chi and Liza Wang Ming-tsuen attended the concert.

At the end of the concert, Mok thanked her fans for their support over the years. She said it was sad that the media always focused on her love affairs and her image instead of her talent.

Alice Lau Nga-lai, Fei Fei, Frances Yip Lai-yee and Eliza Chan Kit-ling are staging a musical from now till March 15. After the musical ends, Lau will only have a day off before starting rehearsals for another drama. Fei Fei will be hosting a new game show for TVB and will also star in a new TV drama. The veteran actress said no matter how busy she was, she would take time to fly to Vancouver to visit her daughter and mother.

Sharis Lau Yuen-kuan, the girlfriend of actor Dayo Wong Chi-wah, has been released from hospital. Rumour has it that Lau will be moving out from Wong's apartment. She was seen shopping for new furniture.

Lau has denied the rumour. She said she was only accompanying her friend. She said she appreciated people's concern but they should not be over-sensitive.
