A rumour has it that Canto- diva Faye Wong will change to another record company when her current four-year contract with the EMI Group, worth $40 million, comes to an end later this year. It is rumoured that Universal Music will bid $30 million for the contract. Universal Music director Chan Siu-po has worked with Wong before. Chan said the company was serious about negotiating with Wong.

Mainland rock-star Dao Wei, former husband of Faye Wong, was in town last week for a musical, starring Candy Lo Hau-yam. Dao was the music producer of the musical. He was followed by the paparazzi for the entire trip. He refused to answer reporters' questions or to say whether he had visited Wong and their daughter Jingtong.

A rumour has it that TVB has banned the latest Leslie Cheung Kwok-wing video because it promoted homosexuality. However, a TVB spokesman said they had not banned the video, but suggestions to the record company to cut some sensitive scenes had been rejected.

Cheung, who directed the video, said he did not want any scene to be cut. Cheung said that the video did not promote anything and that people had too good an imagination.
