Moon House Dim Sum
At this small Happy Valley restaurant, dim sum is served throughout the day, an unusual practice for Hong Kong restaurants. Spinach dumplings ($28 for four) are a delight, with delicate wrapping and a generous filling. Stir-fried green beans with minced pork and olive leaves ($38), a Chiu Chow speciality, is another enjoyable dish, although spoiled by excess oil. Rice wrapped in lotus leaf ($62) is a huge disappointment. The dessert selection is good, although not as extensive as that found at its sister outlet, the nearby Moon House Dessert Bar. Rice dumplings in ginger soup ($18) is a soothing choice and chilled sago cream with mango and pomelo ($25) is a refreshing summer treat. (Reviewed on March 16)

Eat Noodles
As the name suggests, this restaurant serves noodles of every kind. There are soup noodles and wok-fried noodles cooked in Japanese, Cantonese, Singaporean and Thai styles, with meat, seafood or vegetables. But vegetarians beware. There are little green 'clumps-of-grass' illustrations next to items on the menu which are supposed to be vegetarian, but the 'vegetable spring rolls' ($18) contain minced pork. Iceberg lettuce with pickled chilli tofu ($12) turns out to be iceberg lettuce with a rather bland tofu sauce. All the noodle dishes are $38 and are just enough for one person. Pad thai noodles are a little too sweet, but teppanyaki chicken and crab stick udon is light and refreshing. For vegetarians, the sauteed wild mushrooms with E-fu noodles is a delicious option.
