TWO men allegedly found in possession of two kilograms of heroin mixture went on trial in the High Court yesterday. Pang Lin, 48, and Cheung Chi-wai, 42, have pleaded not guilty to trafficking in dangerous drugs. They are being tried by a jury before Mr Justice Ryan. Senior Crown Counsel Caroline Ravenscroft said police stopped Pang and Cheung as they came out of Sheung Shui railway station on August 23 last year. Nearly 1.55 kg of heroin mixture was allegedly found in Pang's bag and 447 grams in Cheung's jeans. Ms Ravenscroft said the Crown considered the pair were trafficking because of the amount of drugs and the way it was hidden.
