TWO Hongkong people who were badly burned in a gas explosion at their home in Shenzhen were last night taken to Prince of Wales Hospital in Sha Tin. Chow Cheung-shing, 43, who operated a cloth factory in Shenzhen, was reported to be in poor condition, while his woman partner, Wong Yin, 27, was in fair condition. Mr Chow was said to have been hurt when he rescued Ms Wong seconds after the blast in their home in the Laufa district yesterday morning.
