More than 180,000 people crossed the border at Lowu yesterday as the exodus of holidaymakers out of Hong Kong continued. At Chek Lap Kok, more than 40,000 people took off and landed. The Immigration Department said it would work closely with mainland authorities on the possibility of extending the opening hours of the checkpoints today or tomorrow.
