Residents of two Yuen Long villages have demanded immediate compensation and repairs to their homes for damage they claimed was caused by construction work on the KCRC's West Rail project. Shui Tin Tsuen and Fung Chi Tsuen villagers said yesterday cracks had appeared in walls and windows of their homes after piling work by contractors for the Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation last August. Water pipes were damaged and concrete fell from ceilings, they claimed.
