Welfare recipient Lam Leung-wai, 52, has been charged with arson after allegedly starting a fire in a lift lobby on the 24th floor of the Southorn Centre, Wan Chai. He jumped into the flames apparently in protest at the level of his pay. Lam is still receiving treatment in Queen Mary Hospital and failed to appear in North Kowloon Court.
