Six dogs burned to death inside a home-made cage in a suspected arson attack under a flyover in Mongkok yesterday.

The cage, converted from a wooden pushcart, was among items burned under a flyover at the junction of Tung Chau Street and Sycamore Street at 2.30am. Police said excessive noise from the dogs, which were probably strays kept by street-sleepers, may have led to an arson attack. Officers are trying to trace the owner.
