MAKE your way down to South Island School tomorrow for a riotous night of good times and folk music at The Frog Hop. Folk bands Frogs In Ginger and Get Reel will be providing the music and laughs with a sound which is vivid and unique in Hongkong.
Featuring a vast array of instruments including guitars, flutes, mandolins, whistles, an accordion, violins and fiddles, the guys (and gals) are promising a show guaranteed to ginger up your evening. Dave Colquhoun will be taking a break from his lead vocal duties with the Soul Commotion by performing solo at Mad Dogs Central from 10pm. Bluesman William Tang will bring out his band The Wail for some rhythm and blues classics set to make you shiver, from 10pm at Amoeba.
Romantic music from the flute, piano and violin trio Venus Music Centre, at the Fringe Club, from 9pm, $10 for non-members.
Tomorrow: The Rebirth Of Cool is now happening every second and last Saturday of each month at the Viceroy in the Sun Hung Kai Centre. Catch DJ Mickey Smith with special guests DJ Si Tipper and funk band Mothership. Doors open 10.30pm, admission $100.
