Emblaze Systems and Network Appliance have signed a deal that will see the network storage maker distributing Emblaze Wireless Media Platform audio and video streaming technology.
Under the partnership, the companies said they would engage in joint marketing activities aimed at wireless carriers, communications service providers and enterprise customers.
The combination of the companies products delivered a carrier-grade infrastructure solution for delivery of wireless multimediaapplications, said Emblaze president, Sasson Darwish.
Storage-intensive applications such as video messaging must utilise the highly reliable and scalable products, and those will be provided by Network Appliance.
Israel-based Emblaze formerly known as GEO Interactive Media makes software that delivers video and audio over wireless 2.5G and 3G networks, mobile phones and other handheld devices.
It reported in March a tripling of revenue to US$30.7 million for last year.
