A property developer allegedly involved in a US$36.5 billion (HK$284 billion) fraud case appeared in Eastern Court on an additional charge of using a false Philippine passport.

Tiburcio Villamor Tan Marcos, 52, is accused of submitting to HSBC through two men a copy of forged HSBC receipts mentioning a sum of US$36.5 billion. He also faces one count of using a copy of a false instrument and one of overstaying. No pleas were entered. Magistrate Henry Mierczak adjourned the case to June 12.
