A 15-year-old youth was seriously injured yesterday after being hit by a window pane that fell from the 27th floor of a building in Tai Po.
Cheung Chi-hang was walking past Sun Wo House in Tai Wo Estate, Tai Po, shortly after 3.30pm when the window pane fell from a 27th-floor flat and struck him on the head and back.
The teenager was rushed unconscious to a Tai Po clinic. He was then transferred to Prince of Wales Hospital. His condition was listed as serious last night.
A housewife, 41, was also injured. She refused medical treatment and left the scene after police took a statement from her.
The boy's sister said last night he had regained consciousness but was suffering from a brain haemorrhage and back injuries.
Police were last night looking for the flat owner.
