Canto-pop star Nicholas Tse Ting-fung has been invited to perform with Japanese rockers Glay on their tour this summer it was announced, on Thursday.

Tse (pictured left between Takuro and Teru from Glay) will represent the SAR on the Glay Expo 20001 Global Communication tour in August. The Japanese group will also be joined by representatives from other Asian countries, including Mayday from Taiwan, Jaurim from Korea and Dome from Thailand.

Tse said he was glad to be asked to participate in the event and treasured the opportunity to learn from it. He is due to fly to Japan to meet with Glay to discuss the details of the show.

Glay is a four-piece band which was formed in 1988, while vocalist Teru and guitarist Takuro were still at high school. Drummer Hisashi and bassist Jiro then came on board. Their 1999 tour attracted one million fans.
