Kerry promises residents added value for money

Kerry Properties aims to boost its property management arm's customer services by providing more value-added services to residents.

Subsidiary Kerry Property Management Services will offer laundry, cleaning and repair services to housing estates it has developed, based on resident demand.

Paul Ng, senior property manager of Kerry Property Management Services, said providing value-added services was the company's latest initiative, which would first be applied in Ocean Pointe in Sham Tseng and Constellation Cove, in Tai Po.

There would be a customer-service assistant in each building responsible for handling residents' enquiries, he said.

Services, which would be charged individually, would also include newspaper and magazine subscriptions and car-washing. Kerry had arranged service providers and had negotiated reasonable rates for services, Mr Ng said.

He said serviced apartments provided these services, but the difference with the Kerry plan was that residents had a choice of which, if any, services they wanted to use.
