Travel television company Alive Networks is awaiting a potential new investor's decision today about buying into the company.
Alive Networks was reported to be on the brink of collapse unless a new investor was found.
Discussions have been concluded with Alive but final approval from the potential investor has yet to be obtained.
'We are positive because these have been long protracted discussions [but] nobody here knows what their answer is going to be,' said Alive Networks director of corporate development Alastair Monteith-Hodge.
The size of the stake the new investor would acquire in Alive Networks was not disclosed.
Alive Networks - which was launched in November - aimed to offer a television and Internet-based travel information service. It expected revenue to come from TV advertising and Internet transaction fees by referring traffic to related sites such as travel agents.
