A bout with Agnes Cinephile, contemporary-art collector and clothing designer Agnes b. might not sound like your average boxing fan. But while watching a contest on television one night she came up with the idea for her latest endeavour, b.Everlast. A joint venture between the two brands, the line is made up of classic boxer shorts from the Everlast range, which has been worn by prize-fighters for more than 50 years, and additions designed by Ms. b. Like the SPORT b. line, all items are unisex and available in a wide range of sizes, from XXXXS for featherweights, to XXXXL for serious contenders. Weigh in at all Agnes b. boutiques this month.
Nasty or nice? Grateful Dead T-shirts, airbrushed American Indians, tie-dye and Jaws prints ... no, not the contents of a tacky tourist shop but the height of fashion, according to Sachi New York. The 20-year-old American brand, started by Danish designer Jan Bode and named after his Japanese wife Sachi, smatters sequins, beads and pailletes on otherwise awful items, transforming them into one-of-a-kind works, handbags and summer skirts. Check them out at Style Trek in The Landmark, Central and Ocean Terminal, Tsim Sha Tsui.
Lip shtick What to wear with that retro-'50s top, poodle skirt and chrome-trimmed Trailer bag by Dior? MAC Lacquer, a liquid lip colour with Shellac shine. Nine new shades have just hit the shops, baptised with plastic-fantastic names like Acrylicka (pink with golden red iridescence), Lustereena (deep, burgundy wine) and Varneesh (bronze with pink iridescence). Long-lasting and unapologetically artificial, they hark back to an age when 'natural' makeup was a no-no; $130 from MAC counters.
