Water sports teams offer swimmers chance to enjoy special benefits

If you are fit and able to swim 50 metres, you are welcome to join the Water Sports Membership Scheme organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department and use the facilities at four designated water sports centres - St Stephen's Beach Water Sports Centre in Stanley, Tai Mei Tuk Water Sports Centre in Tai Po, Chong Hing Water Sports Centre and Jockey Club Wong Shek Water Sports Centre in Sai Kung.

The annual membership fee is $100. Members are entitled to various benefits, including exemption from day camp charges and discounts at specified water sports equipment suppliers.

Application forms are available at the four centres and district leisure services offices; return completed forms to the Tai Mei Tuk Water Sports Centre at Main Dam, Plover Cove, Tai Po. Enquiries - 2665 3591.

Apothos, a chamber group comprising six musicians from the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, will perform a concert with wind and string instruments in the City Hall Theatre at 8 pm on Wednesday.

Apothos will perform Mozart's Flute Quartet in A, Villa-Lobos' Bachianas and Brasileiras No 6 and Beethoven's Serenade in D for Flute, Violin and Viola, Op 25, and Foote's A Night Piece .
