Pang Sau-chu, 28, denied one count of wounding with intent.

Prosecutor Simon Tso said Pang, a mainlander, had visited her husband, construction worker Lo Wah-kan, 42, on two-way permits until she obtained a one-way permit on October 8 last year, allowing her to settle in the SAR.

But last July, when Pang was still living on the mainland, Mr Lo left their four-year-old son in the care of a friend in Shenzhen.

On the night of October 15, Pang allegedly had an argument with Mr Lo, whom she accused of ignoring her request to visit their son. Pang then blocked the main entrance of their Tuen Mun flat with a sofa and a wardrobe to prevent Mr Lo from leaving. Mr Lo ignored her and slept on the sofa, Mr Tso said.
