In view of the terrible air quality which is prevalent in Hong Kong these days, I recently did a check of my home to ensure that my Hitachi dehumidifier and Fortress air-conditioners were working efficiently.
I found that on all of them the air-cleaning filters on the air filters needed replacement.
On the booklets accompanying all of these pieces of equipment I was pleased to see that the manufacturers supplied the service part numbers to enable easy replacement.
However, on contacting Hitachi I was informed that it did not have any air-cleaning filters in stock in Hong Kong, but that it might have them in July and I should call again then.
Fortress said it never had such spare parts and that I didn't really need them, as I could use a vacuum cleaner to clean the air filter.
Can anyone tell me:
