Name: Owen Chan Age: 17

Occupation: student

Boys may be boys, but this season they don't mind if they dress a bit like girls. Owen is one of many teenagers aping the androgynous look of Japanese youth, with his tight clothing and colourful accessories. But what he really wants is a tail. 'I totally love the fake wolf tail that [Japanese pop star] Ayumi Hamasaki hangs from her jeans,' he says. 'Unfortunately I haven't figured out where to get one in Hong Kong.' He also loves Burberry checks and skateboard fashion - but without the graffiti and sweaty exercise - and spends up to a thousand dollars a week on clothes. Like local celeb Kelly Chen, he likes to customise his clothes and dreams of becoming a fashion designer himself. 'I'd like to study fashion design, but I am not sure yet because of my poor drawing skills,' he says.

Face: cleanser by Kanebo or Shiseido, from Lung Shing Dispensary, Granville Road, Tsim Sha Tsui. Moisturised with fresh aloe vera, bought at Mongkok Flower Market. 'I used to treat my breakouts with antibiotics but they didn't seem good to my body, so I switched to the natural way.' Treated monthly with Amway masks 'recommended by mum's friends'.

Underwear: cotton briefs from Wing On department store.
