MORE than 300 media professionals, friends and relatives yesterday attended a funeral service for the late chief editor of Wah Kiu Yat Po, Peter Pun Chiu-yin, at the Hongkong Funeral Parlour. Pun died in Shanghai on June 19 after being seriously injured in a traffic accident during a press tour. He is survived by his wife, Angela Pun Cheung Shiu-hing, and four children. Among those who attended the Buddhist ceremony was former Secretary for Education and Manpower John Chan Cho-chak. In his eulogy, Clarence Chang Ching-po, Pun's friend for more than 30 years, praised him for making a tremendous contribution to the development of journalism in Hongkong.
