Britain's education system is compatible with Hong Kong's. The primary difference is that it is larger and more complex.

The similarities make it relatively easy for Hong Kong students to continue studies in a British educational institution at practically any point in their education.

There are basically two routes for students wanting to study at a British university - the academic path or the vocational approach. Students who have reached the age of 16 can enter colleges offering both academic and vocational courses.

These can pave the way for degree programmes at a university or to a professional qualification. There are more than 180 institutions in Britain offering degrees in a wide variety of disciplines.

It is still not too late to enroll at a British college or university. Representatives of more than 90 institutions will be in Hong Kong next month to enroll students from Hong Kong.
