Through the use of a breakthrough decal decorating process, Heatrans has achieved a turnover of $30 million in the first year of operation, and won a silver award in the New SME category.
The company's Heatrans Decal is a new technology for surface decoration and handicrafts. It is also ideal for industrial use such as decoration, monotone or colour signs and directions. Made of pre-printed colour graphics, the heat transfer process uses the latest technology in printing production and special inks to apply permanent and bright colours.
The unique characteristics of Heatrans Decal makes it ideal for decorating many different surfaces such as painted surfaces, ceramic tiles, metal and glass. It can also be used on many different kinds of products, such as model cars, for outstanding results.
There are numerous ready-made patterns of Heatrans Decal to choose from, and custom designs are available on request. The heat transfer process provides a texture and hardness similar to enamel painting, and remains radiant for a long time.
Heatrans Decal is easier to use than traditional transfer methods such as pad-printing or silk-screening; you can easily transfer texts and patterns on to any surface without expensive tools or specialised skill.
'Consumers are more demanding now,' said president Fred Tam Chit-ho. 'Model car collectors, for instance, want not only total authenticity, but also the full range of cars that took part in a single motor race. This could well be 50 cars.
