Suite deal in Bangkok

The elegant Sukhothai Hotel in Bangkok's embassy district along South Sathorn Road is offering special deals, including an executive package with complimentary upgrade to a suite. The package, priced at US$179 (HK$1,400) per night, plus taxes, includes transfers to and from the airport by Mercedes limousine, American breakfast, suit pressing, use of the health club, an in-room fax machine and late check-out until 6pm. The special is based on a minimum stay of two nights and will be available until December 27.

There is also a weekend package available at the Sukhothai, which is set in 2.5 hectares of landscaped gardens. Priced at US$135 per night excluding taxes, the package offers a double deluxe room and American breakfast for a three-night stay from Friday to Sunday. This offer runs until September 30. Meanwhile the Tourist Authority of Thailand (TAT), in conjunction with the Bangkok Tourist Bureau and Pacific Asia Travel Association, has published a brochure mapping rivers and klongs (canals) in and around the city, with details of taxi boat services and cruises.
