Time to empty your wallets and re-organise your bookshelves. The annual Hong Kong Book Fair kicks off this morning.
As in previous years, long queues are expected to form outside the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from the crack of dawn as thousands flock to the largest and most anticipated event in the local publishing calendar.
Organised by the Trade Development Council (TDC), the book fair will run until next Monday and, as usual, you are advised to enter the venue with a floor plan of the centre.
This year, the trade show will be featuring 370 exhibitors housed in separate areas. There are the AABook Pavilion'' (in Hall One), AATeens' Paradise'' (Hall Two) and AAChildren's Paradise'' (Hall Five) to cater for readers of all ages.
However, those hoping to snap up replica weapons and toy swords will be disappointed.
The TDC has banned the sale of such items this year because it hopes to give the fair a more appropriate image.
