Sun-worshippers at Repulse Bay enjoy yesterday's sizzling temperatures.
But the rising mercury wasn't fun for at least six people who had to be airlifted to hospital after feeling unwell.
Four teenagers, aged 16 and 17, who were camping at Sai Kung, felt dizzy when they arrived in Long Ke on their way home at midday. They were taken to Siu Sai Wan by Government Flying Service helicopter and later transferred to Eastern Hospital.
A girl was airlifted to Eastern Hospital after showing signs of heatstroke while camping with friends in Tap Mun. An hour later, a woman, 53, was rescued after trekking in Cheung Shan.
Temperatures reached 34 degrees Celsius. The Observatory issued a 'very hot weather' warning and advised those engaged in outdoor activities to drink plenty of water and avoid over-exertion.
The hot weather is expected to continue today.
