Yahoo! Hong Kong has denied claims by Direct Marketing of Asia (DMA) which imply it has signed up the widely used portal as a client and can send promotional e-mail to its about one million registered addresses.

DMA has sent e-mail making such a claim to industry officials. A copy was obtained by the South China Morning Post.

Yahoo! Hong Kong marketing manager Quinnie Ng said the reports were 'totally untrue'.
