Rusmini Gunung, 27, told Deputy Judge Peter Law Tak-chuen that her employer, Leung Yee-kwan, 27, repeatedly kicked and stamped on her between August 28 and October 11 last year.

Ms Gunung told the court that Leung repeatedly warned her not to tell anyone about the incidents and threatened to pay someone in Indonesia to kill her husband, son and daughter if she did.

She said Leung, who told her she was a former police captain in Sha Tin before marrying, claimed she could exploit connections with Indonesian police to kidnap her son and daughter.

Leung pleaded not guilty to one charge of common assault, four of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, four of causing grievous bodily harm with intent, and one of carrying out acts intended to pervert the course of justice.

Ms Gunung started working as a domestic helper at Leung's home in Royal Ascot, Fo Tan, on July 23 last year.

She said Leung first beat her on August 28, slapping her once on each cheek 'because she said something inauspicious to her' on her birthday.
