Mui celebrates 20th year in showbiz
Anita Mui Yim-fong will hold concerts and release a new album next year to celebrate her 20th anniversary in showbiz.
The veteran singer and actress has released 30 albums in 20 years and has staged a record 110 concerts at the Hong Kong Coliseum.
Joey Yung Cho-yee is the youngest singer to hold concerts at the Hong Kong Coliseum. The 21-year-old star is currently consulting a nutritionist to stay in shape for her October concerts. The theme of her concerts will be 'Dream Come True'. Yung said becoming a singer was her childhood dream.
Dodo Cheng Yu-ling will be hosting TVB's franchised programme, The Weakest Link.
Cheng said the project would be the most challenging one in her long-time emcee career.
Singer-composer Jun Kung gave youngsters tips on playing and composing music in a summer youth programme.
Rumour has it that Jun is in love with supermodel Vanessa Yeung. Jun responded by saying the two were good friends and that his love life was a private matter.
Gigi Leung Wing-kei has been appointed as the WWF ambassador to promote the message of saving Chinese white dolphins. Leung said it was worthwhile to adopt a white dolphin because it was an effective way to teach young children to love animals.
