Strong friendship and mutual support have helped two girls excel in this years' Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE).
Diocesan Girls' School fifth formers Karen Hung Shee-yeung and Evelyne Kuo Sui-ling, both 17, scored 10 As in the HKCEE.
The two classmates and close companions sat the same subjects and scored A(1)s in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics, Geography, Economics and A(2)s in Chinese Language and Religious Studies.
Shee-yeung scored A(1) in Additional Mathematics and A(2) in Chemistry while Sui-ling got A(2) in Additional Mathematics and A(1) in Chemistry.
'I always take it easy, but I'm thrilled to have swept 10 As together with my best friend,' said Shee-yeung.
Shee-yeung said studying together helped them learn quicker and more effectively. The good friends often encouraged and inspired each other.
