Updated at 7.14pm: The father of missing tycoon Teddy Wang Teh-huei said on Monday he would fight the probate battle against his daughter-in-law Nina Wang Kung Yu-sum until the end to see justice done.

Wang Din-shin, 89, who has been in the witness box for 13 days, vowed to fight back if he lost the case, when he was interviewed by a magazine in January 1999.

''I said to the journalist I would surely fight this case to the end. Even if I lost this time, I will still fight so that to get back justice,'' Mr Wang said.

Mr Wang finally finished his testimony on Monday and he took off his wool hat and bowed to Justice David Yam Yee-kwan before he left the stand. The judge also wished him good health.

He is seeking a declaration that a will dated March 15, 1968, which appoints him sole executor and trustee, to be valid and duly executed.

But Ms Wang, who took over chairwoman of Chinachem Group after her husband was kidnapped on April 10, 1990, claims the 1968 will has been revoked by a will dated March 12, 1990. She said her husband appointed her sole beneficiary and administrator.
