A NOTHER victim of the Carrian saga was prominent Hongkong lawyer John Wimbush.

He was found dead in the swimming pool at his Coombe Road home on The Peak on April 13, 1984.

A nylon rope was tied around his neck and the other end was attached to a concrete manhole cover.

Police believe Wimbush, 46, committed suicide. The Commercial Crime Bureau was preparing to interview him in connection with the probe into the collapsed Carrian empire.

He was a senior partner of Deacons, a leading firm of solicitors, and a former president of the Law Society.
